Dr Jocelyne S.Lapointe (Neuroradiologist)
Dr Lapointe is a Canadian neuroradiologist who became acquainted with Ghana and KBTH while volunteering for the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation, a Vancouver based organisation started after Dr Thomas Dakurah (current Head of Neurosurgery at KBTH) spent a year at Vancouver General Hospital.
A bilingual francophone, Dr Lapointe obtained her MD degree from the University of Sherbrooke in Quebec and completed her Radiology training at the University of British Columbia, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
After performing and External Review of the KBTH Radiology Department and of its Radiology residency program, and of the Medical Radiography program of the School of Allied Health of the College of Health Sciences of the University of Ghana in August 2011, she has been appointed as a visiting consultant in Radiology for the next two years. Her main purpose is to assist the Radiology Department in improving services to clients and teach residents and technical staff.
