Korle Bu’s critical care facilities that is, the Emergency and Intensive Care Units (ICUs) are the busiest in the country. It receives referrals from other hospitals in Accra and the regions. It costs over GHC 2,000 to care for a patient at the ICU a day. However, most patients are unable to pay.
The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and Fidelity Bank have established the Critical Care Fund to assist patients who are unable to pay for Emergency and ICU services.
We must donate to this Fund to help save the lives of people who need critical care.
